  1. I read a book “Dies the Fire by S. M. Stirling. The sci-fi showed worst case scenario if our infrastructure crumbled. The setting was the willamette valley in Oregon. The clans had to become self sufficient or perish. Cool book because they made their own longbows to bolster their defense. : ). Its good that you give your listeners practical values. Your point about small acts can snowball into better and bigger things is great. Nothing good happens without collaboration. Thanks for posting another good podcast : )

  2. I loved the show! It’s what I’ve been thinking for a long time and it’s nice to hear somebody else with the same attitude – thanks for the great show!

  3. I loved this podcast! Self reliance is a major facet of my life and how I want to continue to develop my life skills to move closer and closer to being totally self sustainable. Please keep up this sort of thing, even though it gets away from bowhunting, I think this sort of discussion is a part of the hunter philosophy and the way of the woods. Nature caters to the intelligent, the adaptable, and the strong.

Check out the book “Self Reliance” by Ralph Waldo Emerson, I highly recommend this timeless book by an original American transcendentalist.
