Episode 4 A self defining bowhunt and lessons learned

Play

This is a recap of a hunt that happened a few years ago. It was a deer hunt in northern Michigan in the winter. The hunt turned out to be a true test of my ethics, morals, drive and determination.

It was the hunt that proved I could “walk the walk” and not just “talk the talk” about what kind of hunter I was and will always be.  I had always talked about my woodsmanship skills and my ethics as a hunter. I always fight for how i feel and believe we should act in the woods. This hunt was the hunt that defined that for me.

It is one of my most important hunts and one of my most memorable.

There are some important lessons in this that every hunter should think about.
